German Losada is a Colombian artist based in Madrid whose work explores the relationship between the body, space, and perception through striking aerial (bird’s-eye) perspectives. By depicting figures and objects from above, Losada challenges conventional viewpoints, inviting viewers to reconsider their position within the composition and the way they perceive their surroundings.
Inspired by architecture and spatial composition, his practice is grounded in simplicity, balance, and geometric structure. Through the careful interplay of form, light, shadow, and negative space, Losada creates compositions that merge technical precision with emotional depth, suggesting movement, transformation, and new ways of inhabiting visual space.
His work extends beyond representation to create an immersive visual experience. Each composition encourages multiple interpretations, inviting the viewer to become an active participant in the artwork while reflecting on the dynamic relationship between observation, perspective, and the spaces we occupy.
